Basic Functions/Job Responsibility:

Job description / Role & Responsibilities

  • Product-CT
  • The NPI Manager will manage group whose responsibility is to represent manufacturing/production in engineering, champion DFM, handle engineering purchasing, support reliability models, create vendor test (especially for CTQ criteria), negotiate/choose vendors, lead make/buy decision process, transition design from engineering (prototyping) to manufacturing (production), lead COGs reduction, develop OMS’s for and with manufacturing and manage change control/configuration.
  • Experience with complex electromechanical manufacturing and DFM (Design For Manufacturability).
  • Experience with complex electromechanical make-buy analysis.
  • Experience with RFP initiatives for complex electromechanical systems.
  • Experience with developing process test plans for manufacturing of complex electromechanical systems. Know how to create, maintain and act upon changes (i.e., change control).
  • Experience with transitioning design from engineering to manufacturing. Design new manufacturing process requirements and associate guidelines. Administer first product release.
  • Act as purchaser for engineering. Setup vendors for operations. Understand low volume production market.
  • Develop documentation to support production (work instructions, flow charts, procedures, routings, product labels).
  • Configuration management, including process for managing configuration in a regulated environment.
Minimum Education, Experience and Qualifications:
  • Experience working with computed tomography scanners.
  • Experience in the explosive detection equipment industry.
  • Excellent analytical skills.
  • Proven experience commercializing products.
  • Experience with reliability models (e.g. MILSTD 756)
