2 Day Hackathon
Vehicle Count Challenge

CHALLENGE

Can you estimate the vehicle count without object detection?
Join us for an exciting challenge where you’ll use computer vision techniques to estimate vehicle count and density in videos. But there’s a twist – no object detection models are allowed! Dive into innovative methods that rely on motion, flow, or image segmentation to calculate the number of vehicles in traffic scenarios.

HIGHLIGHTS

  • Data: Video clips (10-12 seconds) will be provided when the hackathon starts with a detailed problem statement.
  • Goal: Given an input video, your goal is to estimate the total number of vehicles and their density.
  • Restrictions: Use of object detection models (like YOLO, SSD, etc.) are prohibited.
  • Teams: Team of 1 or 2 members.

Why Compete?

Internship: Top 3 winners secure paid summer internships at Vehant Research Labs-an environment to dive into edge AI deployment, and to collaborate on safety tech: A pathway to full-time roles.
