Architect/Associate Architect – AppDev/Web

Role Overview

Vehant Technologies is seeking an experienced Web Architect with 8+ years of software
development and leadership experience to drive the architecture, security, growth, and
execution of our web product ecosystem.
In this role, you will serve as the technical authority and team lead for our web products,
bridging high-level software design, end-to-end web security engineering, team leadership, and individual hands-on technical contribution. You will be responsible for defining application architecture, driving web security best practices, leading modernization initiatives, guiding development teams, and directly contributing core code to ensure our web platforms deliver exceptional scalability, enterprise-grade security, and low-latency performance.

Key Responsibilities

• Architecture & Strategic Design: Define and implement robust application architecture, technical standards, design patterns, and development best practices for high-performance enterprise web products.
• Hands-on Development (IC): Write clean, maintainable, and scalable code in ReactJS, NodeJS, and TypeScript for critical application components, complex workflows, and core architecture modules.
• Database & API Design: Architect and manage resilient SQL databases (MySQL, PostgreSQL) while designing secure RESTful APIs, WebSockets for real-time video/event streaming, and microservices integrations.
• Web Security Architecture: Establish and enforce comprehensive web application security protocols across front-end and back-end stacks. Perform threat modeling, vulnerability assessments, secure code reviews, and implement defenses against security risks (e.g., OWASP Top 10, XSS, CSRF, Injection attacks).
• Technical Leadership & Team Management: Lead, mentor, and empower web
  engineering teams, conduct code reviews, establish delivery milestones, and foster a culture of quality, secure coding, and continuous learning.
• System Modernization & Scalability: Continuously review existing web applications to identify opportunities for refactoring, performance optimization, security hardening, and framework modernization.
• Cross-functional Collaboration: Partner closely with Product Managers, UI/UX
  designers, AI/Video Analytics teams, and QA to define technical specifications, evaluate requirements, and deliver secure features seamlessly.

Required Skills & Qualifications

• Experience: 8+ years of professional web development experience, with a proven track record of architectural leadership and team management alongside hands-on Individual Contributor (IC) responsibilities.
• Core Tech Stack: Expert proficiency in ReactJS, NodeJS, JavaScript (ES6+), and
  TypeScript, along with HTML5 and CSS3/SASS.
• Web Security & Compliance: Deep hands-on expertise in enterprise web security practices including OAuth2, OpenID Connect, JWT session management,
  RBAC/ABAC authorization, CORS policies, Content Security Policy (CSP), and
  OWASP Top 10 mitigation techniques.
• Databases: Solid expertise in designing, optimizing, and managing relational databases (PostgreSQL, MySQL), including query optimization and secure schema design.
• APIs & Real-Time Communication: Deep experience with RESTful API design, microservices, third-party integrations, and secure WebSockets / real-time data push technologies.
• DevOps & Workflows: Strong knowledge of Git, CI/CD pipelines, automated build tools, containerization, and modern Agile development workflows.
• Soft Skills: Exceptional problem-solving ability, decision-making skills, and strong written and verbal communication.

Preferred Qualifications

• Cloud & Infrastructure Security: Experience with cloud application security controls on AWS, Azure, or GCP (e.g., WAF configuration, API Gateways, SSL/TLS termination, and PKI cert management).
• Security Testing: Familiarity with automated security testing tools (DAST/SAST) integrated into CI/CD pipelines.
• State Management: Advanced knowledge of front-end state management architectures (Redux, Redux Toolkit, Context API, Zustand).
• Domain Exposure: Prior exposure to web portals handling real-time data streams,
  media management systems, dashboard analytics, or IoT/Surveillance software
  applications.
