Advanced X-Ray Systems Division

The Advanced X-Ray Systems division is a newly established division as part of Vehant Technologies Pvt. Ltd. Its mission is to build a talent pool of expertise in India to establish a design house to create the next generation of Security Baggage Scanners with novel geometries. The organization has a clear and long term strategic vision for the division that revolves around establishing itself as a innovative player in the security scanning domain and is committed for sustainable strategic technology development to propel industry leading solutions with a vision of AtmaNirbhar Bharat – Make in India for the World.

We intend to create a very lean yet agile team of professionals to co-conceive of and co-create the next generation of Advanced X-Ray Systems in the baggage screening sector of security screening applications. We are actively hiring for technical resources spanning a wide range of specialties connected to X-Ray/CT technology backgrounds including but not limited to Systems Engineering, Image Quality, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Firmware design, Software designs and architects, High-performance compute algorithm designers, and UI/UX designers. The overall activities would begin with conceptualization and culminating in engineering product design including DFX (Manufacturing/Service/Reliability.). Technology development would encompass a wide array of domains spanning X-Ray physics, Model-Based Systems Engineering, Digital Twin designs, rapid prototyping, signal processing, image generation chain and experimental data analytics and research.

Role/Job Description

This is a full-time, on-site role for a Software Architect in the Advanced X-Ray Systems division at Vehant Technologies, Bengaluru. The Software Architect will be responsible for defining and owning the system-level software and compute architecture for real-time baggage screening and security imaging systems.

The role involves architecting high-performance, heterogeneous CPU–GPU compute pipelines, defining multi-threaded, pipelined, data-parallel and task-parallel processing architectures, and ensuring the system meets stringent performance, reliability, and stability requirements expected from mission-critical security applications.

The Software Architect will lead the conceptualization, design, and integration of the compute architecture, including finalization of compute hardware requirements such as CPU, GPU, memory, and interconnects. The role also encompasses ownership of verification, validation, and reliability strategies, and ensuring production readiness of the compute platform in alignment with DFX considerations (performance, reliability, serviceability, manufacturability).

In this role, the Software Architect will work closely with algorithms, firmware, systems, mechanical, and electrical teams, mentor engineers, and provide technical leadership across the development lifecycle—from architecture definition and prototyping to validated production release and post-deployment support.

Qualifications & Desired Skills

• B.Tech/M.Tech, MCA, M.S., or M.Sc.in Computer Science / Engineering or related discipline, with a strong software and system architecture mindset and solid documentation practices
• Expert-level proficiency in C/C++for performance-critical, system-level software
• Strong experience with Linux-based systems(Windows exposure is a plus)
• Deep expertise in:
  • Multi-threading, concurrency, and synchronization
  • Parallel computing on heterogeneous CPU–GPU architectures
  • Data-parallel and task-parallel compute pipelines
• Proven ability to perform system-level debugging and root-cause analysis, tracing issues across software, compute, and subsystem interactions
• Experience defining system and compute requirements, and maintaining traceability to system-level design
• Strong experience in API design, inter-process communication, and integration with third-party systems
• Ability to define and oversee verification and validation strategiesfor compute-intensive systems 
• Prior experience in R&D or deep-tech product development, with involvement across the lifecycle from conceptualization to market deployment
• Strong problem-solving, analytical, communication, and technical leadership skills
• Ability to mentor engineers and work effectively in cross-functional teams
• Must demonstrate willingness to constantly learn and adapt to growing needs of the domain with a growth mindset

Good to Have / Preferred Skills

• Exposure to X-Ray, CT, imaging, or signal processing systems
• Experience working on safety-critical or mission-critical products
• Hands-on experience with CUDA / OpenCLand parallel programming frameworks such as OpenMP / OpenACC.
• Experience with vectorization and low-level optimization techniques (e.g., AVX/SSE, Intel intrinsics)
• Good working knowledge of both python and JavaScript including libraries like GPU.js, Emscripten and other compute accelerator frameworks for client-side/edge computing
• Working knowledge of Pythonfor prototyping, tooling, and experimentation
• Working knowledge of JavaScript / WebGLfor visualization or accelerated UI pipelines
• Experience with SQL / NoSQL databasesand high-throughput file systems
• Exposure to Model-Based Systems Engineering (MBSE)concepts

Travel Note

This role while stationed in Bengaluru would entail travel to Vehant Technologies headquarters in Noida on a need basis. The travel percentage is indicative only and can be subjected to change based on organizational requirements.
